With the establishment of a group of Acidophilic strapetes existing in habitats, it became necessary to assess their actual taxonomic position, morphological, cultural and physiological characters and all their relationship with the only other recorded example of Acidophilic streptomycetes, Streptomyces aczdophi1us (Jensen 1929).
