Larval stage of the pistol shrimp, found along the shore at Karachi, (Manota Island, Buleji rocks and Break waters) was obtained by rearing the animal in the laboratory. The first larval stage is described and illustrated to help in their identification in the plankton. Observations on the habit and habitat of die adult and larval forms are also described.
