Physico-chemical properties of magnesite from Baluchistan have been determined by X-ray diffraction, differential thermal analysis, chemical analysis and hydration studies. The results obtained by all the above methods confirmed that the magnesite investigated has good ceramic properties and can be utilized for various industrial purposes. particularly in making chrome/magnesite and magnesite refractories for lining the iron and steel furnaces.
