Abstract:
Optimization parameters viz. temperature, agitation speed of shaker incubator and incubation period for the growth of microorganisms on suitable nutrient materials with suitable pH are inversely proportional to each other during alcoholic fermentation processes. These parameters are frequently applied to screen out a highest cell crop of an efficient strain of the test microorganisms to be employed for the laboratory and industrial scale fermentations. Our results revealed maximum growth of S. cerevisiae, strain K.A-1 for alcoholic fermentation at 30°C, 120 rpm, after 72 hours incubation at pH 4.5 in malt yeast extract peptone glucose (M.Y.P.G) medium.
