Transmuted Size-biased Exponential Distribution and its Properties.

Abstract:
In this paper, transmuted size-biased exponential distribution is developed using quadratic rank transmutation map approach. Mathematical properties like, CDF, rth order moment, moment generating function, characteristic function, measure of skewness and kurtosis, reliability measures, hazard function, Shannon and Renyi entropy functions, mean residual life function are derived. Furthermore, method of moments and maximum likelihood are used to estimate the parameters of proposed distribution. The performance of suggested distribution is compared with its base line distribution while modeling real data sets.
