Abstract:
The equation of continuity a basic equation in Physics, Mathematics and other applied sciences & Engineering is a partial differential equation in two variables i.e. in space and time. The dependent variables are velocity and densities. The equation is applied to either mass or charge distribution. The general solution to this equation in terms of velocity is rather complicated. We have tried to find possible solutions of this equation (for one dimensional flow at present) for non steady flows with a well defined kinematics of the flow.
