Abstract:
There are 40 qualified anesthetists in total in Syria and Department of anaesthesiology provides training to` interns and residents. Regarding acupuncture, Chinese therapy is based on flow of ch`i, theories presented by Ronald Melzack, Man and Chen, Kin Bong Han and Janet Travell have been discussed. In Syria, Wajih Moallem has treated his patients with acupuncture. He also gave acupuncture analgesia in cases of tonsillectomies and ophthalmic operations.
