Abstract:
3 cases of amoebic colitis complicated by perforation are repotted. In 2 of these cases there was extensive involvement of the large intestine, including the caecum in one case. sad the diagnosis was made at autopsy. The third case presented as a surgical acute abdomen, the diagnosis being made from a biopsy taken at Isparotomy. The various pathological aspects of the condition are discussed particularly in regard to the 3 cases.
