Abstract:
The disease is widespread throughout the world and is of considerable importance. It can infect the plants at early, as well as, at later stages of plant growth, causing substantial yield losses. The disease is seed borne and also soil borne. It may survive for long both in fields and in storage. So there is a need to study the disease comprehensively in order to evolve proper management-strategies.
