Abstract:
Therapeutic use of ultrasound is of particular importance in the treatment of musculoskeletal disorders. The extent of these effects and the mechanisms producing them are still not fully established, and the observation of potentially harmful sideeffects including blood cell stasis and endothelial damage at intensity levels obtainable with therapeutic insonation equipments require fundamental studies into the biological effects of it.
