Abstract:
Dolomite, CaCO3, MgCO3 is a mineral composed of calcium and magnesium carbonates in equimolecular proportions. It is a compound rather than a mixture of calcite (CaCO3) and magnesite (MgCO3) with a molecular weight of 184-4 and specific gravity 2.84. Its hardness is 3.5 – 4 on Moh`s scale and crystal system is rhombohedral.
