Abstract:
The blight disease of gram (Cicer arietinum L.) caused by Ascochyta rabiei (Pass) Lab., was studied for investigating the possibility that the disease might have developed biological races. The study comprised a collection of blight affected specimens from branches, pods, stems, seeds and leaves of gram plants of different varieties from various places and studying the different isolates in culture and their pathogenicity. Results are tabulated.
