Air pollution.

Abstract:
It is suggested that unless effective measures are taken today, Pakistan in a few decades would face the sane problem of air pollution what Great Britain faced in the first half of this century. The sources of air pollution described are industrial, smoke, exhausts of motor vehicles, domestic smoke, grit and dust. The serious effects of air pollution on health are obvious from the result of the London smog disaster of 1952 when an estimated 4000 people died directly due to the smog. The prevention of smoke depends on the nature of fuel and the appliance and manner of burning the fuel.
