Abstract:

During the period under review (1977-78) a total of 345 sheep and goats (306 goats and 30 sheep) were examined from the five collection sites, selected on the basis of differing climate and topography. Two trematodes, six cestodes and seven nematodes were recorded from the hosts examined. The incidence and seasonal variations were studied by monthly examinations of the hosts. Skrjabinema ovis has been recorded for the first time from the province of Sind. Gaigeria pachyscelis was found to be a species of arid region. The incidence of infection was generally higher in sheep than goats.
