Abstract:
This paper investigates the Fluoride levels in drinking water samples from ground and municipal water supply sources of the mega city of Karachi in Pakistan. The results show that the drinking water sources are deficient of fluoride contents compared to the WHO proposed guideline values. While some groundwater samples of industrial areas contain high levels of fluoride which may be due to the industrial wastes pollution. Therefore, continuous monitoring of water resources and caution of fluoridation is suggested in view of the present status of fluoride.
