Abstract:
A case serial study was done to highlight that Miliary tuberculosis is not an uncommon cause of pyrexia of uncertain origin in our situation and is equally vulnerable to be missed because of its nonspecific clinical manifestations and its multi system involvement and to determine the Clinical presentation of Miliary Tuberculosis in 25 newly diagnosed cases of Miliary Tuberculosis. We found out that the most usual presentations were fever of uncertain origin, weight loss, night sweats, hepatomegaly, spleenomegaly and peripheral lymph node enlargement. Common Laboratory findings were raised ESR, raised CRP, and military shadows on Chest X-rays. Negative  Mantoux test, raised Alkaline Phosphatase, Leukopenia, leukocytosis, pleural effusions and pericardial effusions were among the other Laboratory findings.
