Abstract:
These investigations were carried out at Gujrat (Pakistan) during 1990. Out of nine cotton (Gossypium hirsutum L.) cultivars tested for resistance against jassid (Amrasca devastans (Distt.) G-9 proved the most resistant one followed by FH-90 while FH-87 was the most susceptible one. The moisture contents and crud fiber were found positively correlated while total minerals were found negatively correlated to the jassid population. Proteins and fats had no role in the resistance of cotton jassid.
