Abstract:
Software engineering plays a vital role in making a process cost effective. The basic role of requirements engineering (RE) is to collect information for cycles involved in the development of a software. This study uses systematic literature review (SLR) in order to pinpoint the challenges which may be hampering the vendors in offshore requirements elicitation. Benchmark practices are collected for the requirements elicitation challenges from existing literature through SLR and from software industry experts. The ultimate goal of this research project is to develop requirements elicitation challenges model (RECM), which will assist the outsourcing vendor organizations to overcome various challenges faced during requirements elicitation.
