Abstract:
A detailed investigation of theoretical and practical aspects of separation of organic isomers has been presented. The extent of reaction with strong acids or bases and with weak acids or bases is described. The importance of multistage process for the separation of isomeric organic compounds has been emphasized. The effect of temperature on the separation of various isomeric systems has been discussed to show positive or negative influence on the extraction of these industrially important isomers.
