Abstract:
A Quasi-Experimental Study was conducted at Medical “B” Unit of Khyber Teaching Hospital, Peshawar to study the efficacy of Disease modifying drug Cyclosporin A on 20 patients suffering from Rheumatoid Arthritis. Baseline data including Clinical, biochemical and radiological markers were taken as baseline at the start of the study and then measured at 4, 8, 12, and 24 weeks after treating them with standard doses of Cyclosporin A. We found a statistically significant  improvement in almost all clinical, biochemical and radiological markers proving that Cyclosporin A is an effective drug in the treatment of Rheumatoid  Arthritis.
