Abstract:
Pakistan is short of hundreds of tons of proteins needed to meet out the protein requirements of its population. The protein deficiency can be overcome by greater production and improvement of livestock. The latter produce better quality of proteins than vegetables which contain amino acids. Hormonal treatment is in the vogue in many advanced countries of the world to get higher production of the proteins. Experiments on implantation of hexoestrol in weathers have shown gain of 50% more weight than the control animals.
