Abstract:

A trial of Lorazepam on 45 patients suffering from anxiety state with various psychosomatic symptoms is reported in this paper. It was found to be potent anxiolytic agent with low dosages without any appreciable side effects. It also proved very effective in patients who suffered from insomnia and showed no evidence of hangover when they woke up. The rebound phenomenon was noticed on discontinuation of therapy.
