Abstract:
A total of 61 families comprising of 150 'genera and 190 species of trees, shrubs, climbers/stragglers are recorded from the Margalla hills. The majority of the families (26) comprises of only 1 species. The checklist includes 50 nomenclatural changes since the publication of R.R. Stewarts 'Flora of the Rawalpindi District' in 1957-58. One new plant records, namely. Tetrastigma serrulatum (Roxb). Planch, has been recorded for the first time from Pakistan. Information on the distribution, flowering period and common names where ever possible have been given.
