Abstract:
A ray-optics based propagation model for narrowband/wideband parameter predictions in macro/microcellular urban environment for next generation wireless networks is discussed in this article. The ray tracing propagation model is discussed in two parts. In part one the determination of ray path and calculation of the location of reflection and diffraction points referred to as "ray tracing engine" is discussed and the field strength calculation referred to as field strength calculation is discussed in second part.
