An addition to the fishes of Azad Kashmir.

Abstract:
Fishes of Azad Kashmir, from 13 new localities, in addition to many of those a]ready explored, have been studied. Eight new records, including Notopterus notopterus, Labeo calbasu, Cirrhinus reba, Schistura prashari, Glyptosternum reticulatum. Xenetodon cancila, Chanda nama and Glossogobius gutum, belonging to seven families, have been made. Three families, namely Notopteridae, Belonidae and Gobilde have been recorded for the first time from this region. Some new records on district and riverine basis have also been made. The total number of species belonging to twelve families has been raised in Azad Kashmir now to forty two.
