Abstract:
ph of water varied from 7.4 to i.4; dissolved oxygen from 5 3 to 13 mg/lit, total hardness was sometimes very high e.g., 1100 and 2900 mg/lit it the months of February and April respectively. Chlorides were usually very high. Algae and animals were very few in number. Only 3 species of fish were found. No angiospermic plants were found. Productivity of bottom fauna was also low.
