Abstract:

Attempts have been made to evaluate oestriol and pregnanediol levels in urine during different phases of pregnancy These hormones are produced in corpus luteum and placenta of the female and are responsible for the development and maintenance of pregnancy and foetal maternal health. This is a part of investigation made to ascertain the particular period where synthetic hormones are useful during threatened abortions, prenatal death, placental insufficiency and infertility or any other disorder daring pregnancy.
