Abstract:
The effect of different intensities of light on the physical characteristics of laboratory prepared samples of ascorbic acid containing different antioxidants has been examined. The results in the light of antioxidants have been discussed and correlated with previous work carried out under thermal conditions. The study reveals that butylated hydroxy toluene one of the antioxidants used in the present investigation has an excellent effect in protecting ascorbic acid in solid dosage form for photodegradation.
