Abstract:
Sylhet district is situated in the extreme north-eastern corner of East Pakistan. There are two types of forests; (i) fresh water swamp forest, and (ii) mixed tropical evergreen forests distributed in the hilly areas. Flora composition of both types of forests is described for: Hill forests, and the forests of Tillagarh, Khadimnagar, Jaflong, Rajkhandi, Hararganj, Pathari, W. Bhanugach and Tarap.
