Abstract:
In this investigation, adsorption of silver (+1) on Lead sulphide had been studied by using hatch-technique. Percentage adsorption was determined for lead sulphide-silver solution system as a function of contact time, pH, adsorbate concentration and temperature. Adsorption data had been interpreted in terms of Freundlich and Langmuir equations. The value of DH0 38.807 kJ/mole. The desorption studies specially with 10% sodium cyanide at given silver loadings on lead sulphide show that significant percentage of the element is reversibly desorbed.
