Taxonomical study of freshwater algae from district Rahim Yar Khan.

Abstract:
Altogether 27 species were taxonomically identified from the different sites of Rahim Yar Khan (140 Chak, 138P, 134 Chak, Shah Ghar, Basti Panwaran, Bismillah Pur, Mari Allah Bachaya, Khan Pur) in the month of August, 2010. The algal species belonged to 3 phyla, 05 classes, 07 orders and 15 genera. This is the first step towards the freshwater algal identification from Rahim Yar Khan. These all species are already identified from the different areas of Pakistan but they all are first time reported from Rahim Yar Khan. The species were taxonomically identified from the different sites of Rahim Yar Khan (140 Chak, 138P, 134 Chak, Shah Ghar, Basti Panwaran, Bismillah Pur, Mari Allah Bachaya, Khan Put) in the month of August, 2010.
