Abstract:
Koil defoliator (Biston regalis Moore) invaded the blue pine forests in Azad Kashmir and Murree in 1980. The avi-fauna of the area was studied to determine means of reducing insect infestation. Twenty-five species of birds were found to be feeding on the Months. The presence of insectivorous birds may, in the future, prove to be a very important factor in the control of this serious pest.
