Abstract:
A field experiment was carried out to study the effect of different levels of nitrogen alone and in combination with P and K on yield and quality of sunflower. The experiment was laid out in a randomized complete block design with 4 replications. All the yield and quality characteristics of sunflower were significantly affected by various levels of N. Maximum number of seeds head-1 1000 grain weight and grain yield ha-` were obtained from the plots where N:P:K was applied @120:75:50 kg ha-1. However, maximum seed oil content was recorded with the application of 100:75:50 kg NPK ha-`.
