Abstract:
Monishia bulefienis, a new species of gobiid fish, is described from the Karachi coast of Pakistan. It is distinguished from other species of the genus by the possession of an orbital tentacle, a thin stripe broken by 7-8 dark brown blotches along the mid-lateral scale row, and by general body colouration.
