The relation between IBD proportions and parameter values.

Abstract:
The proportions of sib pairs with genes identical by descent (IBD) with values of 0, 1 and 2 are evaluated for different parameter values, for disease prevalence up to two percent. The reverse reading of the resulting tables indicates the parameter values corresponding to a set of IBD proportions. The methods are applied to some IDDM data, with remarkable agreement.
