Abstract:
Adsorption of organic acids acetic, propionic and oxalic acids from aqueous solution on activated characoal has been studied at different temperatures i.e.; (283, 293, 303, 313 and 323K). By employing Langmuir and Clausius-Clapeyron equations the (A H), free energy (A G), and entropy (A S) of adsorption were calculated. A H values obtained were in the order of 2-7.2 k cal per mole, indicating the physical nature of adsorption.
