Abstract:

Soya extract (Peucedanum graveolens) was tested for its toxicological activities against 3rd instar larvae of Musca domestica L. and coopex a commercial pyrethroid was used for comparison. Both compounds were applied through feeding medium. After 24 hours of treatment LD5o values with confidence limits were calculated. An estimation of alkaline phosphatase indicated inhibition of the enzyme. It was found that LD50 values of "Soya" was 9.2 m1/5 gm of the medium and 0.39 ml/5 gm in case of coopex.
