Abstract:
The adsorption isotherms of Cu2+, CO2+ and Ni2+ on alumina from aqueous solutions were obtained at different temperatures. All these adsorption isotherms obey the Langmuir, Fruendlich and Dubinin- Radushkevick isotherm equations. Thermodynamic parameters such as free energy, entropy and enthalpy of adsorption were computed and interpreted. It is noted that the adsorption of Cu2 and Co2+ increases with the decrease of temperature while for Ni2+ reverse is observed.
