Abstract:

The present study is an attempt to investigate the concentration of calcium, magnesium, zinc and electrolytes and to establish if some correlation between these elements existed in the serum of patients with established history of breast cancer. The comparison of the results obtained with standard values of these elements showed that the concentration of calcium and sodium increased, that of magnesium and zinc remained normal while that of potassium decreased in patients with breast carcinoma.
