Abstract:
The dielectric properties of pure liquid water measured at 10-cm wavelength band between the temperature 15° and 70°C with an interval of approximately 5°C have been reported in this paper, the experimental technique is the E010 circular cylindrical cavity resonator method A difference of 12 to 4% in the value of E` is noted in the above temperature range between the measurements made with quartz and Corning 7070 glass capillaries The lower value of E` obtained with the Corning glass is much more likely to refer to impure water The average values of e` and e` obtained in the present Investigation and those determined by Collie, Hasted and Ritson` are compared, the maximum differences of 6% and 25% respectively have been observed at lower temperatures. The above discrepancies narrowed down at higher temperature and of the range of temperature under investigation.
