A linear detection of constant signal in skewed noise.

Abstract:
The effect of noise skewness on the performance of linear detector is discussed. The relation between the noise skewness and the false-alarm rate, power, and the probability of error is studied. In addition, some examples of skewed density functions are discussed together with the normal density functions.
