Abstract:

In this study, the authors proposed a method for voxelizing triangular mesh model based on space partitioning and octree encoding. It describes the 3D model by octree structure and then processes it with both surface voxelization and internal voxelization to generate volume model. Their experimental results show that the method can voxelize 3D polygon meshes correctly and effectively.
