Abstract:
Husk, shell, kernel and water composition of East Pakistani coconuts were examined and compared with the Ceylon varieties. It is observed that East Pakistani coconuts are slightly less husky, more shelly and contain almost same quantity of kernel when compared with coconuts imported from Ceylon. It is concluded that it is worthwhile to grow coconuts palms from local seeds.
