Abstract:
Study was conducted to compare growth characteristics and feed conversion efficiency of four strains of commercial broilers e.g., Starbro, Arbor Acres, Ross and Lohman under the same environmental conditions. The liveweights of the four strains were compared from day old age to 8th week. The data on feed consumption and F.C.R. are presented. There were nonsignificant differences among the strains for various traits however, Starbro strain gave a better performances under Tandojam conditions.
