A leaf spot disease of Dahlia Dahlia varibilis (Willd.) Desf. Caused by Alternaria tenuissima (Kunzexpers) Wiltshire.

Abstract:
A diseased specimen of Dahlia was collected. The disease manifests in the form of small light brown to straw coloured irregular lesion with distinct powdery growth of fungus Alternaria sp. On microscopic examination the casual fungus was identified as Alternaria tenuissima (KJunze ex Perse.) Wiltshire.
