Abstract:

Reaction of 2-aminothiazole with aromatic aldehydes under solvent-free condition is conveniently accessible, affording the corresponding imines. Being environmentally friendly and avoiding purification make this process a valuable and attractive route. The reaction time is short, experimental operations are very simple, and products are obtained in high yields. Other classical methods failed in providing desired products.
