Abstract:

Compound 1003 was tried on hypertension patients and good control on 80%, moderate control on 14% and poor control on 6% patients are reported 25% of the cases had 140 mm Hg or above, 41% had between 120 - 140 mm Hg and 34% and had below 120 mm Hg diastolic blood pressure. The drug, effective in malignant and hypertension associated with renal disease, has side effects viz postural dizziness, exertional dizziness, nasal congestion and loss of appetite.
