Abstract:
In this paper, we define a new -generalized sigmoid function, and prove some analytic properties. By using analytical techniques, several inequalities involving the generalized function are established. Some of these inequalities connect the generalized sigmoid function to the softplus function. Finally, some statistical properties of the generalized sigmoid function are studied.
