Abstract:
A table model aerogas generator has been of great use for the investigations on rusts of wheat and barley under partial vacuum to preserve uredospores of rusts for maintaining their viability by the modified lyophilization technique and supply inoculum to the various rust nurseries. It is an inexpensive and handy equipment for any field station or small laboratory requiring facility of gas for preparing and sealing glass tubes. This equipment is very economical as compared to the Aerogen or Petroleum gas cylinder which are comparatively costlier for limited requirements.
