Abstract:
Zones are formed even in light when light of 10 Lux intensity alternates with light of 1000 Lux intensity. Zonation in fungi has been explained on the basis of diurnal rhythmicity by others. Light alternating with totally different condition of darkness cause zonation in several fungi. The investigation shows that variation in the degree of same condition. Light of low intensity alternating with light of high intensity cause zonation in Helminthosporium hawaiiense.
